apartment locations
| apartment locations I am trying to find a furnished apartment to rent for 2 weeks in July (15/16 to end of July) in Montevideo either in Ciudad Vieja or close to it... But I am having difficulty finding any listings. I found one on Colonia St and Eduardo Acevedo and one on 18 de Julio and Rio Negro. Are these locations within walking distance to anything or are they in the middle of nowhere. Thanks for any help. |

Hi Kim, You should explore this site, especially the blog section, where are there a links to multiple agencies / individuals that will help you find a place. But you should poke around the whole site...I think I recall seeing listings in other sections too, I just don't remember where. Good luck! Marina |

Kim - Go to Fotos - click on Newest Fotos and on page 2 you will find Plaza Fabini (El Entrevero) that is 18 de Julio Ave and Rio Negro Street.I think that depending on the Apartment it's the best location. You will be close to everything. Easy place to find a Taxi, Restaurants etc. |

Kim if you look to the left, you should see a long menu of topics, click on real-estate and trawl through them as there are a number of Montevideans offering their appartments for sublet etc.. |

I agree with Ana Inés. There's sufficient public transportation as to check other places than the Centro. Centro and Ciudad Vieja are OK, though Ciudad Vieja can be fairly desserted on Sundays. Pocitos and Punta Carretas are nicer places, when you can go out for a walk at the beach at any moment. |
