| Virtual Uruguay Travel Show My second, and slightly less embarrassing attempt at green screen special effects, was made for a Spanish 3 project at Devon Prep. We were supposed to make a powerpoint or video and act like we were travel hosts, but I opted to actually go to Uruguay... or make it seem like I did. We only had a couple hours when we could meet to write the script and shoot, so we did not have the time to memorize lines or do retakes. We put the english script through Google translate, corrected any glaring mistakes, and taped printouts in convenient spots off-camera. That led to some pretty awkward acting and poor spanish because we were not actually looking at the camera or at each other, we were trying to read the machine-translated script right next to them. I had to do a lot of post to edit out stuttering and stalling. I used Final Cut Pro and Motion for the effects, and Youtube and Google for the background footage. . |
| This is pretty interesting. For people who haven't been to Uruguay, this could be an eye catcher. I haven't been to Uruguay and as I watched this video, I can't help but be interested with the place. I have heard so many things about Uruguay and almost all are positive. This makes me hope and wish to be able to go there someday. I hope it will come true. Can't wait for that time to come. |
