Uruguay Entry Fee

Thank author of this post/commentA lot of people seem to searching for information about entry fees for Uruguay. Argentina and Chile both have an "entry fee, " while Paraguay and Brazil require visas for Americans to enter.

So far, Uruguay requires neither a visa, nor a entry fee for Americans (or Canadians) to entry. Other nationalities should check with the Uruguayan Consul for any visa requirements.

Thank author of this post/comment"Entry fees."

One of the cleverer aspects of tax administration in the ROU is that they let you in for free before smacking you for 21% IVA (sales taxes) once you are buying things :-)

For the nonspellers: Urugauy and Monte Video is Montevideo (monte-vid-day-o), real estate agents are "Inmobiliaria", and of course Uruguay is not spelled Uraguay. 140917606
