I think investing into some time share in Uruguay sounds like a good idea. I don't know anybody that has any time share in Uruguay. You can check out this website to find some leads on some time share.

I never thought of buying one in Uruguay before. I wonder if it is very expensive. Thanks for the link. Once I get my trip together to go I will be able to know for sure just how often I might be able to go back.

Yeah, I never really thought about getting time share in another country. I always thought about getting timeshare in Florida. I guess it would be a good idea to look into purchasing timeshare in Uruguay.

Timeshare is pretty reasonable. If you going to be visiting a certain country or city on a regular basis it's a good idea to purchase some timeshare. I would suggest you do your research.

I'm not sure time shares are really an "investment?" As a real estate investor, that's my 200 peso opinion (: As long as you don't come in January, nightly rates are so reasonable, at least here on the coast, the need for a time share escapes me. In addition, you're not locked in to a tight plan; two weeks when available. Steve

I said investment because it's something that a friend asked me about. A friend that visit the country a lot ask me and my husband if we would consider going in with them on some timeshare.

Got ya!I've done the pencil a couple of time shares and couldn't figure where the payoff was? That's why we rent when we're out of the country, or just buy something out right. Steve
