Flight time

How long would it take to travel by air to Uruguay from the Midwest including the time zone change?

Montevideo

The time zone is usually 1 or 3 hours ahead of New York and sometimes 2. We are currently 1 hour ahead of New York. Before the recent time change we were 3. When we change times on differnet dates, then then we're 2 hours ahead when one has changed and not the other!

Montevideo to Miami is about a 10 hr flight (non-stop). Panama City is 7-1/2 hrs (non-stop).

Buenos Aires is just over the river and under an hour. There are many more flight options to Buenos Aires. It might be cheaper too. A round trip flight from Buenos Aires to Montevideo is about US$50 and almost another $50 for taxes.

Anyway you go, plan on a lot of time in the air.

O'Hare Intl Arpt, Chicago, IL (ORD) to

Carrasco Arpt, Montevideo, UY (MVD)

5670 miles

For comparison:

O'Hare Intl Arpt, Chicago, IL (ORD) to

Charles De Gaulle Intl Arpt, Paris, FR (CDG)

4140 miles

Time travel is so hard to just guess, we need to have solid facts in order for us to be sure of what the scenario is exactly about.

"Air Travel Time"

There is nothing to guess. You go to an airline website and check the schedules. Roughly a non-stop flight from Miami to Montevideo will be 10 hours. You can guess from there... check the schedules for something more specific.
