| "motos. libretas, rentals"
don't know of anyplace you cab rent a moto, expecially not if you don't yet have a motocycle license (LIBRETA). Getting a G2 (motos up to 200 cc) is easy if you already have a US driver's license which includes motos. Then you just need a medcial certificate (Carbe de Salud - usually one day will do for this), then you go to the intendencia (take abook, helps to pass the tiem), apply, go upstairs to pay, wait, get phtoed, wait, In about three hours you wil emerge with anUruugayan license. You get to keep your US or other license. If you don't yet have a moto license, then you have to get a medical, then make an appointment for a writen test(Sí, en castellano), pass the written test, then take a combination obstacle cousre, road test. (the obstacle course got me.) Took me about a month, the first time. The second try took another month. Then I finally took the hint, went to a drivng school, pad $800 (don't panic, pseos), got an hour's practice on the course itself, discoverd that the school's bike was much more stable than my own. I paid the $1000 "special examantion fee" to the school. (there is no pay on the spot fee for the practiclal test itself) The obstacle course was a snap on the docile bike the school provided. The road test was eays. I had a license after three and a half months. Expert Page: Enjoy life a bit at Feligreta |
