Testing Something NEW on the FORUM

Thank author of this post/commentThis announcement is probably premature and all sorts of crazy things are likely to happen... but here goes...

The forum script here has been updated and for registered/logged in users it now keeps track of which messages and replies you have read.

When you view the message list you may see "NEW MSG" or "NEW REPLIES" before a message title. It will be highlighted in a terrible green (any color suggestions?)

NEW MSG will appear next to messages you have not yet read.

NEW REPLIES will appear next to messages you have read before but have had new replies added since you last read the message. Clicking on "NEW REPLIES" should take you directly to the newest reply.

Since this was just started, all the messages will show as "NEW MSG", as it doesn't know you've read any.

In short, by clicking on NEW REPLIES you can go directly to the new stuff without sorting through everything you've already read.

Enjoy!

Thank author of this post/comment"colour suggestion"

Given that the present scheme is blue and purple, how about something compatible rather than green, say red, or complementary orange.

This is my favorite page for seeing colors... though I can't pick out good combinations! Anyone want to suggest some colors to try? Just play with this page and the give me some code suggestions, ie:

The orange is much more inviting than the bilious green of earlier today. Thanks.

For the nonspellers: Urugauy and Monte Video is Montevideo (monte-vid-day-o), real estate agents are "Inmobiliaria", and of course Uruguay is not spelled Uraguay. 2039045212
