It probably depends on the level of service you buy. They do have DirecTV Plus which has tivo built in. It will record up to 2 channels at a time. You can be recording 2 channels and watching a recording at the same time. Or watching one channel and recording another.Their customer service is in Argentina and I find whenever I want anything it's best to email the CEO in California and let him light a fire under someone to do something. I gave up on getting HTDV from them because they would never give me a price and upgraded my system from regular DirecTV to DirecTV plus because I complained they wouldn't give me the price for that (never did get the price, but got the service). Telmex apparently paid US$500, 000 to get a license to offer a competing service and was licensed and then had it revoked because Uruguay got some better idea of having less competition. I found their Uruguay website. The website makes it look like you can simply place an order for HD hardware. I guess it's not that easy. :-) |
