ANTELDATA ADSL 30G planHi, The plan I have : ANTELDATA plan name: ADSL MOVIL 30Gigas What I get: -3G modem.. -ADSL 2Mbps download / 256 Kbps upload (I think they will upgrade it soon) -Phone line for incoming lines (I chossed not to have outbound phones enabled) -30 Giga of data download allowance (ADSL + 3G), after this you pay a bit per Mbps...but for my work I never reach the limit How much I pay per month: 598 pesos IVA included.. What I use it for without major issues: -VPN client connection to the US -Web -Outlook -Skype -Cisco IP Phone (VoIP) -Remote desktop connection via VPN -Gotoomeeting -How fast I got it working? 3G 6 hours since I signed the contract ADSL 3-4 working days since I signed (I had phone line installed in my flat, but not enabled, the guys from the telcom come first to enable it..after this, the ANTELDATA guys come with the modem). I live in Cordon, a downtown area. Regarding your delay: If you do not speak spanish, get somebody to help you chase the status of the order with your contract number. Bear in mind if the guys of the telco come and do not find you at home, they will not worry about coming back soon etc... I am surprised of the waiting time...are you outside Montevideo?? Overall experience: It is not a high speed, but it is not too bad either for what I do, keeps me going low cost, and with a backup..the thing with the 3G is that you depend on how good is the signal at your place...may be you can borrow one to check out how it works in your place.. Dedicado I would not recommend really...they are dodgy cheaters in my opinion, Wireless always has more delay..bear in mind if you use voip a lot.. If you are very piss off with ANTEL you may just get some other 3G offer from CLARO, TELEFONICA...although they are in my opinion cheaters as well, one is from Carlos Slim , a dodgy Mexican Millionaire..and the other from the spanish that had been doing cheating since Hernan Cortez times around here!!! If you really want to go corporate segment, you can go to TELMEX (from Claro and the Slim millionaire) They have a wireless offer that works well, but is not cheap, Telefonica has the same sort of thing as well... Generally speaking the state option ANTEL has the most technically solid infrastructure, since it is not a profit driven, under invested company..true they are slow in customer service for the same reasons!!! Well, at least we use ANTEL its profits to try to balance our fiscal blackhole paying external debt and pensions to the old/poor..while the Claro and Telefonica money ends up it the pocket of some Mexican / Spanish shark I hope this helps and good luck I hope this helps I hope this helps |
