Looks like we're going to have to pay close attention to the Alberto's!

I'm not much into sports... so I'll pass...

I'll see if this new Alberto wants to keep the nick and then change mine. I get sufficient enemies with my own opinions, I don't want to collect other fellows' enemies too!

I went to see Nacional play Estudiantes from Argentina and it was amazing the buzz...though it felt like that buzz could change in to havoc at any moment and the police presence was obvious.

What was even stranger is there were no fans of the Estudiantes team there, so I wonder would they just tart fighting each other!! I'd say Peņarol playing Nacional would be a pretty intense atmosphere

Nacional & Penarol - Expat from UK It's going to be a little different than the game with Estudiantes.

The BUZZ would be unbelievable. Go with friends and pick a Team.

Go to Olimpica or America.

I enjoyed many Clasicos when I lived in Uruguay, but they were a lot different than the ones now.

Tell us about the experience.

Go Nacional, I'll be watching here in the States LIVE and with friends and family.

OK, I'll have to see about re-registering with a new nickname.

About the Nacional & Penarol game, I think it'll be fun, but not fun enough to watch under the rain.... I'm not a big sports fan, but I like to watch a game once in a while, especially if there's a lot of buzz like UK Expat points out...

I also like to watch F1 racing, but I haven't found any places that are open at the usually (local) odd hours -I'm sure there have to be plenty of expats who follow F1 at least Spaniards, Brits, Germans and Brazilians. I just need to know where they get together... any advice?

Cheers.

Nomad (formerly Alberto2)

For the nonspellers: Urugauy and Monte Video is Montevideo (monte-vid-day-o), real estate agents are "Inmobiliaria", and of course Uruguay is not spelled Uraguay. 2590056469
