Cheap Ironing Board for Jonathan

Thank author of this post/commentIn another message Jonathan asked this question...

"ironing board"

and Juana wait til you try find an ironing board! 700 pesos at the local hardware store! I told the girlfriend she'd have to wait until her birthday ;)

Seriously if anyone has found one reasonably priced let me know

Aaron and Emily Campbell are moving and have most of the stuff in their house for sale... I noticed this on their website:

#33 - Ironing Board - $5

We never ironed, so it has only been used a few times for Maddie's sewing projects. Honestly people, have you seen how wrinkly we usually are?

Scroll through the stuff on this link...

Thank author of this post/comment"great household stuff for sale!"

wow they have some great stuff on offer, and at very reasonable prices!! After a year and a half living in Uruguay and paying really inflated prices for terrible stuff from China that breaks in a week its great to see some real tupperware and decent tools on sale for just a few dollars!

Thank author of this post/comment"About Ironing Boards..."

I have an ironing board. However, I think my maid prefers to put a towel on the kitchen counter and iron on top of that.

Maybe I'll have a talk with her and see if I have any need for an ironing board.

Thank author of this post/comment"stop showing off! "

my maid said it was bad to do that as we have a glass table which the girlfriend was using. I am note sure presently how they get ironed now but to come home with an ironing board (with a bow of course) would bring laughter and smart shirts!

I think though this topic has hit a niche on the expat Uruguayan maker - there is a need for cheap ironing boards.....

Lee if yours is for rent I'll meet you on the parc, I'll be wearing sunglasses and reading the Irish Times....each thursday ;)

Your conclusion is that there is a need for ironing boards. My conclusion is that if my maid doesn't use mine then it is proof that there is NOT A NEED for ironing board here... because they are simply not used.

Later today I will have an answer to this urgent question.

Thank author of this post/comment"Secret of the Ironing Board"

Ok, here's the deal. My maid uses the counter top because it is higher and therefore more comfortable.

The bottom line being that means I have little for an Ironing board.

Thank author of this post/comment"tupperware and ironing boards"

haha, yes I know it is pathetic to get excited about *good quality properly sealed* tupperware (not just any old kind). It may happen to you too...just wait and see.

After a year and a half living here I love the place, but I miss well made but good value products - of all varieties! I miss well made clothes, I miss being able to buy good quality pots without feeling like I am making a big investment! Everything is just so overpriced here and to add insult to injury its all chinese crap.

and where on earth are you finding this Irish Times you're supposedly reading?!

Man you give spend a lot. My budget is a life of luxury on 99 cents a day! I read it in a very expensive newsletter so I know it's possible! February is my favorite month since I can live like a king for just $27.72 most years!

For the nonspellers: Urugauy and Monte Video is Montevideo (monte-vid-day-o), real estate agents are "Inmobiliaria", and of course Uruguay is not spelled Uraguay. 2575455292
