Buying books in English Shopping, Uruguay Talk about shopping in and around Uruguay
Is there a bookstore in Montevideo that sells English language books? Are they as overpriced as the English language magazines?! I think I saw Time on sale in Pocitos for nearly $10!
There's also a few specific books I'm looking to read that I doubt I'll find in any bookstore, does anyone have any experience with ordering stuff off ebay and amazon? does it actually ever get here?
I was told that Amazon stuff gets here but I personally have had terrible experience with the postal services here!
My friend told me that there's a chain of bookstores called "Bookshop" that carries a few English books. There is one right across the street from the main entrance of Punta Carretas Shopping.
Their website is also really good www.bookshop.com.uy and they have the facility to see the page in English and even search for English book titles.
I also found this site below, however it only has 2 locations listed but if you know of any you can add to it and improve the resource for other readers.
