| Latin America: Govt seeks to regulate shared waters to guarantee supply The Uruguayan government is trying to reach agreements with Brazilian, Paraguayan and Argentine authorities to regulate the construction of dams and implement better industrial wastewater control policies to reduce the impact of economic development on the Uruguay river.

| Sometimes it is necessary for governments form different countries to work together for a good purpose. An example would be the cooperation of Brazilian, Paraguayan and Argentine government in controlling their dams construction projects. It takes a little sacrifice at times for some but it is worth it if this action far outweighs the negative results. |

Chin Chin , I think the Salto Grande hydroelectric dam is a good example of this between both the Uruguayan and Argentinian governments. |
