| High speed 3g dongle Hi All;Need a small information from ex-pats . I will be travelling to from UK to uruguay in January and I require some information on renting or buying a high speed 3g dongle for a month. I require a dongle which can provide reasonable internet access in areas of Aguas Dulces, La Pedrera, La Paloma , Salinas and piriapolis. Kindly let me know where I can buy or rent this dongle which has coverage in the areas mentioned above. It’s very important for me to have internet connectivity specially from 9th till 14th January. You can get the 3G modems from 3 carriers. They will all pretty much claim 100% coverage in the country.HOWEVER, that close to 100% coverage is NOT 3G... but will fall back to edge or gsm (do you consider that high speed)? As far as 3G, parts of MVD, Colonia, Piraopolis, Punta del Este. I wouldn't trust it to work in 3G ANYWHERE without actually testing it in that specific location. Claro charges by the sequential day, ie: pay for 7 days and it works for a week, whether you use it on a given day or not.
