Piriapolis

I will be visiting Uruguay between March 4th and April 20th.

My plan is to stay in Montevideo for a week or so and then go to Piriapolis and make it my base for the term of my trip. I want to travel around the country as well(as well as go to my birth country, Argentina, for a short visit), so I will want to come and go from Piriapolis.

Can anyone recommend a MODEST hostel or place to rent for a 2 to 3 weeks at a time in Piriapolis? Not sure what the prices are these days, but if someone can give me insight on nightly, weekly, and if it makes $ense, monthly prices?

Also, a good hostel recommendation in Montevideo would be appreciated. I would like to check out the vineyards while I'm there, harvest should be happening around March?
