Ciudad Vieja

Tofu?

Know any good sources for tofu - near Ciudad Vieja. We found one shop on Tristan Nervaja and Bambu on San Jose. Their tofu is OK, but best when cooked. We are looking for Japanese-style "soft" tofu which can be eaten cold.

Try Casa Singers on 18 de Julio. See link below for their complete address. I also see after years their website still doesn't work... it used to have a complete database of their products. The link to download an excel price list gives a "The requested URL /lista.xls was not found on this server." error... though it's been a couple... ie: 3 or 4 years. It used to be a really nice resource.

You might check with the Korean and Chinese restaurants.
