Has anyone else been surprised to see fruits and vegetables they never knew existed whilst wandering through the many markets in Montevideo?
I thought I was pretty familiar with fruits and vegetables and that even ones that I have not yet seen (don't think I've ever seen artichoke), I thought I would at least be able to recognise them - but Uruguay is full of surprises.
The 2 things that confused me most were Persimmons and Zapallitos - both of which I couldn't even tell if it was a fruit or vegetable! To read more on my discoveries check out my blog post below.
