Thank author of this post/commentHi Kaycee,

I've heard of pan casero but not "pan cannon"...what is it like?

Here is a video with very simple step-by-step instructions (and pictures!) for how to pan casero...but the instructions are in Spanish. Do you speak Spanish? The instructions are written and are very basic so you may be able to translate them quite easily.

Thank author of this post/commentor if all that seems like to much effort there is a young American couple here in Uruguay who wrote a great book full of recipes for expat foods (foods that people miss from home).

They seem to cook A LOT...maybe if you ask them really nicely they might do up a recipe in english for you :) its worth a try!

Thank author of this post/commentAs I'm remembering they also said that some people call "pan de cuernos". I remember that they streched the dough and it was rolled from each end and then once it met in the center it had a twist and one roll was across and on top of the other.

Thank you so much for your suggestion I copy the recipe and I will try it, this weekend.

Sincerely,

KAYcee

For the nonspellers: Urugauy and Monte Video is Montevideo (monte-vid-day-o), real estate agents are "Inmobiliaria", and of course Uruguay is not spelled Uraguay. 4191206836
