| Blog of Uruguayan Recipes / Blog de recetas Uruguayas Hi all!I am new to this site, my family is Uruguayan but living in Canada. I have recently started a Blog where I cook Uruguayan food (as well as Slovenian and sometimes Canadian food). I find it very hard, especially in Canada to find good recipes of either the Uruguayan or Slovenian variety. Least of all with pictures. So that is why I decided to make the site. I hope some of you can benefit from it and maybe submit some recipes you'd like to see! (I am running very low) If you know anyone who would like my little site, please send them the link too! Thanks for your time guys! |

Muchas gracias chicos! |

| "Fantastic!"
What a great blog! :)There have been many people asking about "typical Uruguayan foods" and how to make them so I'm sure people will have plenty of suggestions for you. I'd love to see step-by-step how to make dulce de leche...I believe its very easy but I don't know where the start! |
| "Thanks!"
Klarita, yes my husband loves getting bombarded with treats lol Hes got to eat most of it since our families don't live close by... I help him out too of course ;)Elaine, thank you!! I am trying to get my mother to photocopy some more recipies for me from an old book of my grandmothers called 'Dona Patrona etc'. I am gonna go through these forums and see about some good ones. The dulce de leche may be made differently, but according to some family aparently all it is, is boiled condensed milk! I tried this a while back and it seemed to taste the same (and much cheaper than trying to buy it at some fancy import store). Have you seen other recipes for it? And yes, I would love any suggestions on recipes! =) |
| "dulce de leche"
I have heard it is that simple...but people can make any recipe sound simple! I still think if you were to demonstrate it step by step with pictures and instructions people would find it interesting just to see how something SO yummy can be made so easily! |
