Any good Japanese food in Montevideo?

Thank author of this post/commentI've been in Uruguay a few weeks now and the only foreign food I found was a Chinese place downtown and it was horrible!

I really miss GOOD Japanese food, especially tempura! Does anyone know where to find some in Montevideo? I live near Montevideo Shopping and don't have a car so it can't be too far away....

If you want a wider selection of Japanese foods (including Sushi), I'd recommend

Kokoro Japanese Restaurant

They are open for lunch and dinner. Their menu is in Spanish and English. You can view their menu online and they have a lunch special too.

Lunch, M-F Noon - 3pm

Dinner, M-Sat 8pm - Midnight

We had dinner there and the food was excellent, nice and quiet, we were the only ones upstairs. The lights and music was a bit odd though... they seemed to vary in their dimness and loudless... maybe giving the effect of feeling a little drunk!

It was a great dinner and hopefully they've gotten those kinks worked out.

Hi there! Yes, I agree with Lee here. But if there is one Japanese that I would recommend in Montevideo, that would be the Umi Sushi & Cuisine. It is located at Cambara 1614, Montevideo, Uruguay. The foods are really awesome and you will really enjoy it there. I actually included the link here for you to refer. I hope that you can go and visit.

Thanks for sharing that link and information in here guys. I really appreciate all of those. I have been craving for Asian food especially for Japanese food and thanks for all of your suggestions I now know where to go for a sumptuous meal of culinary cuisine. Anyway, hope to hear much more from all of you guys. Thanks a lot and have a great day ahead to all of you.
