It is said to provide what you might call today's second home, retirement and investment diversification opportunities.

It has beautiful beaches, nice climate and lots of recreational activities. When it is winter in North America and Europe, it is summer in Uruguay with temperatures ranging between 70 and 80 degrees.

The real estate industry has a wide choice to choose from in terms of communities, property types and prices.

That is all true...many people are snapping up great real estate opportunities in Uruguay these days. With a stable government, no income tax and relatively low property prices many Americans are buying properties to spend their winters down south.

I'm not sure there's any need to jump in front of the train to buy property. If you need it, sure, but there's no rush in my opinion.
