Hi, Does anyone know of or have a furnished apartment (preferable) or house to rent in central Montevideo between early May until mid December 2009? It would be great for someone who is not around over winter perhaps

Try hitting other search engines. don't wait up for someone here at the forums to actually respond to your request. You may find better offers outside this and at other reliable and travel websites.

Hi Megan,

Its best to actively look and make contacts rather than wait for a response. I think the best way to check out what is available and at what prices is www. buscando casa. com (without spaces obviously). Be aware that although it may seem "easier" to rent from an expat they often charge much more.

Actually, my furnished apt in Pocitos is available for rent between late August until the end of December. I'll be in Uruguay starting July 1st, if you're interested let me know.
