Did you check Buscando Casa?I think the key to a clean apartment is to hire someone to clean it... which is affordable here.

I am looking for a small apartment in Montevideo. I can afford no more than $250/month. Is that possible?
Comment #9 Irv in Pocitos from Montevideo, Uruguay -
For U$S250, you will have no problem at all, but probbably not in Pocitos. The minimum apartment here is $5000 pesos plus gastoc comunes. Count on a minimum of $500 to a max of $1500 for GC. If you can push it to U$S300, you could find something in Pocitos. To get a full listing of apartmentos, go to www.gallito.com.uy and follow the link to inmuebles. You should be able to find something in Parque Rodo- next over from Pocitos. or some of the other areas close by. I have no idea what Ciuded vieja ranges from/to, but I believe you can do a good deal there too.
