Which Hotel to Chose?

Thank author of this post/commentMy friend and I are taking a short trip to Uruguay next month. We are just really planning to relax and lay on the beach. We were looking at some hotels such as: L'Auberge, La Posta del Cangrejo, and La Posada del Faro. We do not plan on renting a car so I we will have to use public transportation. Can anyone recommend a hotel that will be close to attractions?

Thank author of this post/commentIf you want to be around the nightlife then you should go with La Posta del Cangrejo. If you just want to lay on the beach you should go with a hotel right on the beach or really close to the beach.

Thank author of this post/commentI hear that Serena in Punta del Este is a nice place to stay but the area around it looks kind of trashy. This hotel is right on the beach and has a nice bar/restaurant on the inside.

DaConciousChick, remember May is in the middle of Autumn. I would plan for other alternatives than just laying on the beach. Weather may be variable, and sometimes not appropiate for beach (at list not laying, tanning or bathin; if you like to walk through the beach it'll be there).
