| thank you both for info! I have been researching Uruguay as a possiblity for expatriating. It seems like a wonderful, country, people culture. I have to been to brazil many times and visited argentina. i am latin by heritage some fluency in italian and portugese. i amo assidoulsy studying spanish as i do want to live in another culture and expect all to understand english. and i find beauty in the language and culture of countries i visit.i apreciate all the info (invaluable) on your/this blog. i am visiting uruguay with less "illusion" as a result. my interest i confess was flamed by the "hype" from a well known site. and in one month of research from yours and scott lily's site have sobered from living there on 1425 US a month establishing residency in 2 years, getting a passport and moving my car down there. although i do appreciate my first source info in flaming my interest. i will visit in february with a more realistic approach , certainly not looking for"Utopia" but what looks like a beautiful country and culture. thanks, john |
