| Video: Pete & Patricia Travelling - Uruguay - Most Expensive Hostel This is our hostel room in Montevideo, it is the most expensive room we have had since we started travelling in South America three months ago. All the hostels got together and made their prices the same all over the city and of course they didn't keep them low. |
| ""Not too shabby""
If you're still visiting Uruguay, WELCOME! I hope you're having a good time. The hostel you're staying at is --by the video you posted-- in a good location, close to restaurants, museums, theaters, shops of all sorts, etc. Good choice! Plus for U$35 per day for two people, it's definitely not too shabby!! :-) |
| "Where to stay in Montevideo"
I have to say I checked out that hostel myself once (the one in the video is part of the Che Lagarto chain) and I found it to be quite dirty and not well maintained. It is very central, but its not a pleasant room to stay in.As Patrick has mentioned before, the Ibis hotel on the rambla is cheer and cheerful, and also recently I had friends stay in Hotel Sur, its a basic comfortable place and well priced. |
