The Cost of DirecTV in Montevideo

Here is the cost of my directv service from the most recent bill (which arrived today):

HBO MAX DIGITAL $203.20

Combo HBOMAX/MOVIE CITY descuento -$40.33

Movie Pack $162.29

DIRECT1 $654.92 (the basic service)

Sub total: $980.08

IVA $215.62

Total: $1, 195.70

More or less in US Dollars: US$52.

You don't get a language choice. Though most of the movie channels and US based series are in English with subtitles.

I had a terrible experience moving and was without DirecTV for about 3 weeks and rather than giving me a credit for the outage I was more or less charged double for that time.

There were other companies licensed to offer Direct Satellite TV services but their licenses were yanked.. Santiago could give an explanation as to why, but it seem to be crazy politics.

It seems that DirecTV Uruguay uses DirecTV in ARGENTINA for customer service. That seems to make generally poor customer service from DirecTV extremely poor.
