about how to answer you. I, too, immediately noted that after the first month it appears to be implying new costs, although the text denies this.

I have no idea when the actual nexo might poke through the apartment wall, but I did notice the day before that there were new diggings in the street snd that the holes were lightly surrounded by a yellow plastic tape with the Antel symbol. Maybe soon; maybe they'll lay the cable then desist for motnhs; maybe... I live in Uruuguay. Thus, I know well that intentions and plans too often evaporate into memories of old, unfulfilled dreams. Still, the fact that they actaully began digging before bragging seemed promising enough to share.

Thank author of this post/comment"What's the point?"

The next question is what is the point of 30/2m connection? The 2m upload is nice, but with 30m down, something more like 30/10m would seem more realistic.

Will a 30/2m connection make you more happy than a 10/1m?

I recently downgraded from a 10/1m connection to a 6m/768k one. The reason was that they were having some tech issues and slow to resolve them. The 6m connection cost 42% of the 10/1m and I got a prepaid G3 modem for backup.

After downgrading my connection, I haven't felt frustrated that it's slow.

So at what speed points do you really notice the difference?

Fiber Optic connection. I, for one, am not going to sign up for any "ënnhancedÄNTEL serivce until they've actaully ahd it out there a while and even then only if it truly costs less than my present service.

Thank author of this post/comment"Internet speeds"

For several years I had to make do with Dedicado's rural service which offered a 256 kb/s (32 kB/s) download max with a supposed 128kb/s upload. A year ago I managed to be rid of them and acquired a 2 meg 3G dongle instead.

While it makes life easier, I'd really appreciate something faster.

For the nonspellers: Urugauy and Monte Video is Montevideo (monte-vid-day-o), real estate agents are "Inmobiliaria", and of course Uruguay is not spelled Uraguay. 3240233723
