Have you ever been there?

"I believe that Piriapolis will soon be one of the best tourist destinations in the world."

Perhaps I've been unlucky but from my own experiences, I found Piriapolis to be a fairly average turn of the 20th century seaside town which was in no way outstanding. I failed to find any note-worthy restaurants, was food poisoned twice and was charged rather a lot for uncomfortable beds in three different hotels.

I fear that world standards will have to fall a very long way before Piriapolis becomes anything like a world-class tourist destination :-)
