New Zealand Style Dairy Farming

In this article which came out about 3 hours ago it talks about that fact that NZFSU yesterday announced it had placed 39m further shares at a 102c issue price, adding nearly $40m to its previous $123m capital base.

PGG ended up with more share than they wanted but were able to sell them all in the end and expanded on their base.

This will in turn give more capital to expand the Uruguay model to other South American countries. All the new capital will be invested to acquire farms in Uruguay and fund their development into New Zealand-style dairy farms, " Smith said.

What benefit is "New Zealand style dairy farms" for Uruguay... or what exactly are New Zealand style dairy farms?

I think what you find is that many New Zealanders are looking to buy diary farms in Uruguay because the climate is similar so it is easy for them and the land prices are cheap here.

Since it will no longer be the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, but rather than Uruguayan province of New Zealand!

There are a lot places in world that has about the right climate like New Zealand so why in the world would these New Zealanders want Uruguay to be their next dairy farm civilization territory

Low cost of land. Little government regulation/interference. Safe environment.

Now we hear the Uruguayan government is looking to restrict foreign ownership of land.
