Well that's what Uruguay has been saying all along. Uruguay has always contended that its pulp mills are completely safe. Argentina is the one making a fuss.

Okay so what are people supposed to do. Eliminate all the pulp mills and stop making paper products which are good for the environment? The pulp mills if they are run properly, by that I mean cut a tree, replace with 2 trees, can help the environment continue to be healthy.
Not only that but it also helps the economy to stay healthy as well. Better to have paper to throw in the dumps than plastic and oil based products for sure.

Exactly Princess, you make a very good point about the dumping of garbage. I would certainly rather have paper to recycle and eventually end up in the garbage dumps than plastic and oil based products that will take millenia to break down into waste. In fact I'm sure some of the materials thrown in the dumps never break down.

I do agree that they can always replant trees for those that are used in the pulp mills. If anything they could even start recycling if they think it will help.
