walk in clinic?
| walk in clinic?Hello Everyone, I was hoping someone might be able to help me out with some infomration regarding medical clinics here. I need to see a doctor rather urgently to get a prescription for a sinus problem that I have. I am covered by blue cross, but I am not sure where I should go. I understand that there is a private medical system that works here, but as far as I know my coverage does not cover that. I know of the asociacion Espanola, but that is more for emergencies maybe? I just need to get this prescription asap. Any advice? Thanks. My phone number is : 099 493 944 |

Do you really need a prescription? Did you try the Farmacia and they told you to get a prescription? There seems to be very few things that necessitate a prescription.I would go to Hospital Militar.. but that doesn't help with your question about what your insurance covers. Dosesn't Blue Cross have an office here? From their UY website: "To coordinate service, please contact our Coordination Department, from Monday to Friday from 9 to 18 hours. After office hours, you can phone 099 440848. The coordination will be done according to your schedule and the professional’s preferences." | "walk in clinic"
Hi, I´m currently living in Chile and am going to go travelling for the next few weeks from Uruguay through Argentina up to Bolivia and back again to Chile. You´re supposed to provide proof of a yellow fever vaccine upon entering Bolivia (although I´m not sure how strict that really is). In any case, there´s is only vaccine left in one city in Chile, which I can´t get to in time before I leave. So, I was wondering if you knew of a walk in clinic of some travel clinic where they have yellow fever vaccines. Thanks so much |

Last time I checked you could only get the yellow fever vaccination from the Ministry of Salud from their office on the port in Montevideo. It cost about 200 pesos. The certificate isn't valid until 10 days after you get the vaccination. Maybe someone can update, as it was Oct 2008 when I got mine there. |
