Used bicycles?

We are two Norwegian women in our mid-thierties who are renting an apartment in Montevideo until February 19th.

We were thinking it would be great to explore the city by bicycles, so we were wondering if anyone have 2 bicycles that we can rent / buy?

The Bradt guide to Uruguay mentions Uruguay Rent A Bike, phone: 9916-5213 or 9947-3521. Bradt gives no address. They rent bikes with helmets.

Please post a message about what you finally wind up doing.

I might be able to get you two used bicycles. They that have been sitting outside, but if you are willing to get them fixed (not sure how much that would cost), you can use them until you leave. Contact me directly if you might be interested.
