Thank author of this post/commentMontevideo is opening it's museums free to the public on Thursday night Dec 10th. There will performances all over the city. Choose a neighborhood to explore and enjoy.

I forgot about this event! I can't believe a whole year has already passed since the last one! Thanks for the itinerary, there are so many great places on there to see....I might finally make it to the Torres Garcia Museum now because its free entry that night!

I've heard good things about the Gaucho Museum. Anyone have any special favorites, especially something underpublicized in Pocitos or Punta Carretas?

I was having some difficulty opening the link so I thought I'd post a second back-up one just in case anyone else was having the same problem...

As for which museums to visit, I've always loved Subte under Plaza Fabini (the first Plaza on 18 de Julio) but I go there all the time so I'm going to try check out something different...
