| Limited Choices. I now see I should have explained it better. I was trying to explain the options where to live in the first place (that's why the subject I used). I considered that Mike was trying to have an experience as close as possible to the actual experience of living in the city. So I figure out that the first step was to choose the kind of neighbourhood that better suits his preferences and way of life, and use the week to experiment precisely that area; in a hotel. Mike told us he liked walking, cycling, swimming and gym. Specially for the first two, there's nothing like the coast. As I said, the Center is OK too. But I do think not the better place for the way of life and interests Mike describes. About Pocitos, it may be obvious, but the reasons that make it the obvious choice are exactly the ones make everybody recommend it to newcomers. For Mike, having exactly one week to dedicate to the City, obvious choices are much usefull than adventuring into choices that are not for everybody. Let Mike find his way to his perfect place. He doesn't even decided for the country. Pocitos anyway is a confortable base for exploring the rest of the City. I don't personally live in Pocitos cause I think it's not the better place for me. However, I was trying to recommend the "obvious" just for practical reasons. |
