This is a very good link which will tell you about Montevideo being an old-world European style city and what is available to see there.

It also tells you about different parts of the country and real estate information, business opportunities and the economy.

I found this site to be very informative for anyone wanting to retire in Uruguay or move to Uruguay and conduct business from there.

The escape artist stuff gets old after a while. Spend a few months and learn about a place first hand!

The site is just a real estate site there isn't much that tells about the life in Uruguay. Those kinds of websites does not tell the real story behind the life in Uruguay. I was hoping to see a personal blog of a real expat with amateur but good quality photos. What I am curious of is what does the dirty streets of Uruguay look like. Are there also many homeless people? I want journalistic style websites with real stories and not "stories" of building and real estate endorsement.

That was one great expectation for a mere real estate website. This things gets to my nerve, people talking about that they know a website that shows the life in a country and when you look at it, it is just some list of properties which will be available for you to purchase. Well we got something for you sweetheart we will not patronize or click any of your links not unless you provide us with an authentic personal blog which REALly tells what is life in Uruguay is all about.

For the nonspellers: Urugauy and Monte Video is Montevideo (monte-vid-day-o), real estate agents are "Inmobiliaria", and of course Uruguay is not spelled Uraguay. 1536
