| University Employment I am relocting to Uruguay in the fall of 2012. I am interested in a teaching position 1/2 time in one of the Universities beginning in 2013. I have the necessary credentials and business/consulting experience to teach at the university level. I would like to teach business, organization development, change management, training, instructional design and systems, or something similar. Can any of you provide me the name of universities (people's names would be a real plus as well) in Uruguay that I may contact? I would like to meet them when I come to Uruguay in April for 30 days. I think all school terms start in March and end in December, so you may not be able to start until March '13. If that is so, you need to watch the expiry dates on your immigration papers, I think some expire in 6 months. Maybe less.How's your Spanish? |

Getting a job at the main (State) University (www.udelar.edu.uy) would be very difficult. Try one of the private ones: - ORT - www.ort.edu.uy - Universidad de Montevideo - www.um.edu.uy - Universidad Católica - www.ucu.edu.uy - Universidad de la Empresa - www.ude.edu.uy Fluent Spanish would probably be mandatory in all of them.
