| "Timbuktu"
It's in Timbutu... well, I think it always was but they used to have an office at Tres Cruces Shopping but there was a fire about a year ago. I am surprised they haven't reopened at Tres Cruces.I can't remember where the office I went to a year ago is... but it is a ways out... if someone doesn't have an answer here soon... as someone at a bus stop... or the supervisor somewhere... maybe a grocery store... | "new address"
ok so I found out that the place to go get it isel Ministerio Del Interior Guadalupe 1513 corner of San Martin. However, they did not give me the certificate. They advised that it must be sent directly to the person or company requesting it (Consulate, state office etc.) so now I think I might have trouble getting this which in theory sounds very simple and should be my right to get because its MY record. Just wanted to update everyone with the address. |
| "Blank Paper"
When I got mine, it was basically a blank piece of paper with a rubber stamp on it! So, if you record is nothing, how can you get a copy of it!??!!? jajajajaAnyway, the reason I got mine was for Paraguay and the process went like this: 1) Go to the police @Guadalupe 1513 corner of San Martin, give finger prints and pay. The only hassle was the hours of operation which seemed to differ from their website and what was on their door. So, it took two trips. 2) They sent the results directly to the ministry of external relations for legalization. The only issue there was I arrived before the document, so I got to wander around town a bit. 3) I then received the "Good Conduct Certificate" with the Ministry's legalization stamp. 4) I then went to the Paraguayan Consulate to have them legalize it. After both steps 3 and 4 I had the record, and if I just wanted it for myself, I could have skipped step 4. Hint! Hint! Expert Page: Quick Tips for Getting Settled in Uruguay |
