Instrucciones del aņo XIII

I think the ROU is unique in having its founding principles in the form of Instructions which were given to representatives at the Congress of Tres Cruces who were to put the Banda Oriental's views at constitutional talks held in Buenos Aires after the collapse of Spanish colonial power. Declarations and Constitutions I've met before but never Instructions :-)

Can anybody point me to a website which gives the full details of the Instructions in English? I have found partial versions in Espanol but some of the language is beyond my (and Yahoo's) limited powers of translation.

I have just joined this site so I read your post today. As some time has passed Iīm not sure if you are still interested in an English version of the Instrucciones or if you did get one.

If you still havenīt and can give me a couple of days I will transalate and publish them in my blog. Thanks for the idea.

As per Patrickīs request I have translated and published the "Instrucciones" in my blog.

I had never read them in detail (I am Argentine) and they are really interesting. Hope you enjoy them, or at least find them historically interesting.
