where to live

Thank author of this post/commentIt takes a while to start seeing Montevideo with eyes that are accustomed to another city. After a few months, a lot of what stands out now will have faded into the décor.

As for lawns, I'm not an expert, but you'd likely have to live in a very expensive neighbourhood to have one which usually means you could afford to pay someone to mow it.

You might find Pocitos or Buceo full of interesting possibilities ... don't judge them by the Rambla, go back in a few blocks, avoid the big arteries like avenida Brazil, bulevar Esapana etc., and you'll see they're quite quiet and residential.
