| customs duties? hi all, a quick question in case someone can help. i need to buy a very small refrigerator and microwave for my apartment in monteovideo and was thinking of buying them in the united states and just bringing them to montevideo as checked luggage. seems that would be much cheaper, right? i'm wondering, though, what the customs requirements are. do you know if i could enter without having to pay big customs duties on the fridge and microwave? does uruguay have a system in which foreigners can enter with up to X dollars of goods without having to pay any customs duties? thanks! |
