| Thursday Night Expats A Happy Bunch... Yep, the Thursday Night Expat Happy Hour is off to a good start. I've now attended all three sessions to date. Two things stand out, The Thursday night event follows the same laid/back rules laid out by glen for the Sunday expat lunches> they work! The other point to make is that the Thursday night Happy Hour draws a different crowd of expats and locals than do the Sunday lunches. So, clearly, there is a desire in the part of many folks with other commitments on Sunday afternoon to meet, greet and chat. I'm curious if a teenager can take advantage of these meetings. It is hard for me to go with him every Thursday since I work until 9 pm and he wants to meet people that speak English. We are from Houston and he is homesick ;((Thanks in advance |
