I'm thinking of going again to the Old Maz this Sunday Oct 7. If I make it, it's gonna be my second time. I wonder whether I'll meet any of the people that were there two Sundays ago. Is anyone the "host"? Last time I went, I was introduced by my friend David Briggs, who's already in the US.

Yes some of the same people will be there this coming Sunday. Some won't be (as one couple will be in Buenas Aires). There are some 100% of the Sundays regulars, some intermitant, and some come and go with their travels. The constant is the time and place.I started the meeting Nov 20, 2005, but don't claim to be in charge. I saw you two weeks ago but was at the opposite end of the table.

Hi, Santiago. I'm usually there!

Come to think of it I think Shirley is more regular than I am.. and I only miss it in case of an emergency or when I am out of town.

What is Old Maz? It sounds like a play or commedy club.

It is a restaurant and comedy theater. Here is a link to their website (includes their full menu, in Spanish). It also where there is a meeting every Sunday of English Speaking People.. see the link under "related sources" to the left, "Expat Group Meeting" for more information.
That meeting was started in November of 2005.

Old Maz seems interesting enough. I would love to be able to visit the location one of these good days.

"Old Maz"
Old Maz was a great, interesting restaurant, but it's closed now. The Sunday meetings are now at Fellini's.Use the link in the top menu under "Meetings" for current details and updates on the meetings.
