Thank author of this post/comment"Negotiation"

I think that negotiation is the key to any real estate transaction and one of the most difficult when you are in a foreign country, or any area you are not familiar with.

When watching your show, it seems the only concept of "negotiation" is the real estate agents show properties above the buyers budget, sometimes it seems only properties above their budget.

Rarely, if ever, is there any discussion about making an offer below the asking price and certainly no discussion about what kind of offers are acceptable.

So this seems to be just a nice way to show people getting sold on the most expensive properties, and almost always those over their budget. I don't think that is a realize presentation of the property buying process for most expats.

For the nonspellers: Urugauy and Monte Video is Montevideo (monte-vid-day-o), real estate agents are "Inmobiliaria", and of course Uruguay is not spelled Uraguay. 987118554
