Bringing pets to Uruguay

Someone recently asked me about bringing their pets and all I could tell them was that as far as I knew it isn't very hard...then I remembered that these are the type of answers that used to drive me CRAZY when I was trying to research a move to Uruguay. So I had a look around...

It appears it is indeed very straightforward to bring your pets with you to Uruguay. There is no quarantine period for cats and dogs in Uruguay. Animals must have a rabies shot more than a month but less than a year before arrival. They must also have a tapeworm vacine more than 72 hours (but less than 30 days) before arrival.

You need to hold a complete and certified health certificate stating the animal's breed, gender, birth date, and size, and also all the details of the owner.

Has anyone had experience with bringing their pet here? I'd like to let people know how hard/easy it is so they can prepare themselves...
