This is a social event with the purpose of getting connected with other people living in Uruguay and with locals.

You are invited to learn more about Uruguay.

Get connected with other English speakers living or visiting Uruguay.

Find information about Uruguay and its culture, and fun advice for a typical Uruguayan summer, all in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.

Magic show by Magician Daniel Ketchedjian.

What is that address near? I wasn't familiar with the street, and google maps doesn't seem to be either.

How many people are you anticipating? Will there be a large number of Uruguayans expected?

Canning Center is located on Jorge Canning Street and the laterals are Morales and Blvar Artigas it's about a block from the Obelisco.

It's about two blocks from the British Hospital.

Here are the Google Earth coordinates,

This is going to be a small gathering, that's why we are asking to RSVP to make sure we don't run short on food and drinks. We are expecting a small group of English speaking Uruguayans sharing some tips and information. Some of the topics will be what to expect when you are on the beach, how to prepare "mate" before heading to the beach and some phrases in Uruguayan Spanish that may be useful out there.

The intention here is to get connected.

During the event we will have:

A short talk by Antonio Soto about Uruguayan History.

A short talk by Ana Peri about Uruguayan Carnaval.

Information about Uruguay by Ministerio de Turismo y Deporte.

Mate preparation and practice.

Magic Show for adults.

This event has no cost.

Refreshments will be served.
