| SET's Collaborative Proposal Our latest presentation focuses not only on the economic factors, but also on the social and technological factors regarding Wines of Uruguay (WOU) and our business proposal for them. The presentation was a collaboration between us (economic) and two other groups (Nog3 and Netorg3) who specialize in the social and technological aspects respectively. We worked together in order to come up with a proposal, which would benefit Wines of Uruguay in terms of sales, reputation and exposure. The proposal was for Wines of Uruguay to host events such as wine tasting parties in order to gain business contacts as well as raise their reputation in the current market.

Ever since I moved here I've heard A LOT about Tannat and Tannat/Merlot wines. Is Tannat really that specific and special to Uruguay? Do they export a lot of it?Here is the website for Wines of Uruguay, its the Uruguayan Wine Exporters' Association. |

Tannat is a variety of grape with alleged anti-oxidant properties. The French grow a few south of Bordeaux and along the Catalan coast on the Med but in my view, the Uruguayan Tannat wines are vastly superior. The London FT wine reviews praise to our Tannat regularly. |
