| Mothers day (dia de la Madre) in Uruguay is the 2nd Sunday in May.. May 13. Same as Chile, Peru, US, Canada and a whole bunch of other countries. You'd think Argentina, being so intertwined with Uruguay, that fiestas like this would be similar, but they're not. Argentina celebrates it on the 3rd Sunday in October--the spring. |

According to wikipedia it says: "Mother's Day is celebrated on different days throughout the world. The extent of the celebrations varies greatly. In some countries, it is potentially offensive to one's mother not to mark Mother's Day.
