Country Music Festival This Weekend!

There is a country music festival in downtown Montevideo this weekend for all those interested. There will be a whole array of live music acts, line dancing and more. Entry is free and open to all (really its just a big stage in Plaza Matriz and you may come and go as you please).

It says it starts at 11am and lasts until 5pm that evening...hopefully the rain holds off! For more info check this link:

How great. The second day of San Pedro's Festival last Sept in ARG was rained out so I never did get a chance to line dance again.

I will be stopping by after my lunch meeting.

Hey Patt,

Is your phone from Uruguay or Argentina? Because if it is from Uruguay it doesn't cost anything for you to receive phone calls so if they call you it won't eat up your minutes. Texts are great too as they're only 1 peso...but I know many people either can't text or hate to text!

How did the festival go? Did you get rained on?

Thanks for this - it is timely as I am making up a few calling cards and all the cards I have from expats and locals configure the dash in different places.

YES I WENT !!!! It was small but great. The last 2 hours were suspended.

I was there about 15 minutes before being approached by one of the line dancers. She recognized me from Argentina's San Pedro's festival last September (which was totally rained out on day 2 and many of us ended up lunching together - my friends are in a band that were playing day 2)

I think I got some great shots.

but I am having trouble posting a FB link to them
