19 departments of Uruguay

You know I still haven't been to Florida, in fact there are so many departments I haven't had the chance to visit. Many people have recommended Melo in Cerro Largo department up north, but I think Paysandu and Salto would be next on my list.

Patrick you wandered all over the country before settling in Colonia right? What other spots would you recommend to visit? Do you find that once you get away from the coast and in to the interior its all very much the same?
